The Chardonnay Show

Over their 39 years, nothing captures the energy, vitality, humour, chaos and sheer joy of a Bushwackers performance better than this show and this DVD showcases the legendary the Chardonnay Show is captured in all its glory!

Like most things the Bushies have been involved in, the 'tradition' of the Chardonnay Show grew out of another. On Sunday 30th, 1994 the band gathered at its Tamworth home - the Longyard Hotel, for the annual Farewell to the Festival show.

In the audience were renowned childrens' entertainer Don Spencer and his family. Their plan was to stay for "one song and one drink" and drive back to Sydney. Well, one song led to several, and one chardonnay led to another. Like most things the Bushies have been involved in, the 'tradition' of the Chardonnay Show grew out of another.

Don is a generous man - the chardonnay flowed and was shared around. The pub ran out. Needless to say, they didn't leave that day.

This was the first of the many memorable moments and performances that have occurred over the years on that last Sunday, the most recent of which is showcased on this sensational DVD.

As a bonus to The Bushwackers loyal fans over the last 39 years, this disc also features a great history of the band, with some memorable footage and some even more memorable hairstyles!!
