Sea Of Tears
By Adam Simon - January 25th 2010 12:09 am

Superb new album from Idaho-born, Boston-based alternative country singer-songwriter whose last album Letters From Sinners & Strangers brought her international acclaim and comparisons to Gillian Welch and a young Lucinda Williams.
Sea Of Tears combines Eilen's swinging country roots with her love of 60's British Rock. The record features a drop-dead killer version of Johnny Kidd & The Pirates' Shakin' All Over, which any Australian over 40 will know via Normie Rowe's smash hit version from 1965.
Look out for Eilen Jewell on her first Australian tour in early 2010. Tour dates are as follows:
05.03.10 - Port Fairy Folk Festival, Port Fairy NSW
10.03.10 - Clarendon House, Katoomba NSW
11.03.10 - Notes Live, Sydney NSW
12.03.10 - East Brunswick Club, Melbourne VIC
13.03.10 - Moss Vale Music Festival, Berrys Creek VIC
